Moisés Rojas was born in Barquisimeto, state of Lara, in 1992. He began to study cuatro at the age of 6 at the Cuatros y más Cuatros Academy, with professor Amado López.
A year later, Rojas started taking violin lessons at the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory of Music in Barquisimeto, under the guidance of Eliana Campins, Savino D’addona, and Gerónimo Istúriz. His first orchestral experience was as a member of the Doralisa de Medina Children‘s Orchestra. Then, he was one of the founding members of the Franco Medina Children’s Orchestra and also joined the Amadeus Youth Chamber Orchestra. Rojas is a member of the second violin section of the Youth Orchestra of Lara since he was fifteen years old. He also serves as a violin teacher for the System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras of Lara. The Venezuelan musician is now studying cuatro with maestro Henry Linarez.
